Reasons to Choose Cloud CRM for Your Business

In today's business world, Customer Relationship Management or better well known as the acronym 'CRM' has generated a lot of buzz. On the other hand, a lot of people still don't know what a real CRM is and how to benefit from it. CRM is not only a tool, but also a process how companies manage their relationship with their customers. In order to make a good CRM project, selecting the right tool whether in Cloud or on-Premise is very important. Selecting a wrong CRM tool causes the project to fail.

Nowadays, everybody is talking about the cloud as the place for storing their data and running their applications. The direction of business is going in favour of cloud, but is it the right choice when it comes to customer relationship management or namely CRM software? Since there are both type of products on the market, some people still advocate on-premise solutions while others advocate cloud CRM solutions.

What is best - Cloud CRM or On-Premise CRM?

On-premise vs cloud CRM

The most important difference between cloud and on-premise solutions is where the software is installed and the information is kept. In order to install on-premise software, you need to have on-site servers, on the other hand, for cloud software, you can directly start to use the software from Day 1 without any installation.

There are also some products on the market that say that they can be installed both on-premise and also in cloud. According to our experience, it is not possible to develop a product that can work in a similar manner both on-premise and in cloud.  We also have published a blog post about "It is not possible to develop a system both on-premise and in-cloud". Please take a look at it if you haven't already done so.

Reasons to buy a cloud CRM software

One of the major benefits of Cloud CRM is that there is no hardware to install or software maintenance issues to take into account, compared to dedicating hardware to on-premise solutions. Thus, the upfront cost of using a Cloud CRM system is less than using an on-premise CRM solution.

Some of the other benefits are as below;

  • Updates, backups, maintenance all done by the cloud CRM vendor.

  • All security issues are covered by the cloud CRM vendor.

  • Users can access the system from Day 1 through the internet, e.g., their home, office or smartphone.

  • It is very easy to scale your business. Whether you manage 1000 or 10.000 or 100.000 customers, cloud CRM systems can manage them easily. You do not need to invest in additional hardware.

  • You can pay the use of the Cloud CRM System, monthly or yearly and you can manage your budget efficiently.

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time.

  • Cloud CRM systems are updated more frequently compared with on-premise systems.
